To showcase our status as one of only three Porsche Exclusive Flagship Centres in the UK, Porsche Centre Mayfair held a drive out day to Amberley Castle featuring the 911 Targa Florio Mayfair Edition.
Two years ago, just ten 911 Targa 4S Exclusive Mayfair Edition cars were built to commemorate the Targa Florio Italian endurance race. On 25 June 2017, it was a pleasure to see five of the cars return to Porsche Centre Mayfair for a Targa Florio themed drive day.
Accompanying the group to Amberley Castle was a Classic Porsche Exclusive 911 (964) Targa Florio edition from 1993.
Set in the picturesque West Sussex countryside, Amberley Castle is a unique luxury hotel steeped in over 900 years of history. The impressive backdrop of the 12th century castle made for the ideal venue to showcase the Targa Florio. En route, guests were also treated to a breakfast in the Crown Inn, a stunning 800 year old coaching inn based in Chiddingfold.
Greg Hardy-Smith, Centre Principal of Porsche Centre Mayfair, said “A big thank you to the organisers at Amberley Castle and the Crown Inn for providing fantastic hospitality. The castle is steeped in rich history and provided the perfect venue for our Porsche Exclusive Targa Florio themed drive day. The team at Porsche Centre Mayfair and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day and we look forward to more events with both Amberley Castle and the Crown Inn in the future.”
*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
